Steve Job Dies aged 56

Steve Jobs dies aged 56Steve Jobs, founder and ex CEO of Apple computers has died today at the age of 56. Apple Inc. was lead by Steve through many tough years, but in the last decade or so, the name Apple has really become a household name. This is mainly due to Mr.Jobs’ innovation in realizing the user centric elements of electronics and computing, and releasing ground breaking products like the iPod and iPhone. Apple is now the world’s most valuable technology company and leads the tech industry in a range of industries, from high powered computing, to personal electronics and mobile communications.

Steve resigned as CEO from Apple on Aug. 24, 2011. Sadly he passed away today. In 2003, he was diagnosed with a neuroendocrine tumor, a rare form of pancreatic cancer, and required a liver transplant in 2009. There were great concerns for his health over the last few years, and it’s an incredible feat for him to have lead Apple through such an illness. But that was Steve, hard working and different.

The name Steve Jobs goes hand in hand with Silicon Valley and the fast paced entrepreneur culture. He was a long-haired alternative minded, college dropout, who just so happened to start a computer company in his parents’ garage on April Fools’ Day, 1976. He had no formal technical training and no real business experience, but he definitely had ideas about what he envisioned and had determination to see it through.

Steve will be greatly missed!
