Chime.in Has First 404 Error
Chime.in has had it’s first 404 error due to server overloads from too many visitors. This could not be better for the chime crew. Yesterday, we asked the Chime.in PR team about how the take off of the new social network was doing, and they responded by telling us that they were “delighted with the results” and that that “Chime.in is being received very enthusiastically.” I guess today we know the truth about its performance, did anyone expect there to be this much participation so early on?
Here is a screenshot of the 404 page, which is somewhat reminiscent of the Tumblr 404 page back in the day. Hopefully they will get the servers back up so we can start sending some chimes about.
